At Servitours we promote responsible tourism through the respect of host communities and the environment, and with the contribution to local development.

Our goal is to create a travel experience full of authenticity, that allows you to learn about our country and culture. To achieve this goal, we make sure to follow our sustainability policies:

  • Endangered species, or productes thereof, or products made from them or deriving from unsustainable practices, should not be consumed, sold, trafficked, or displayed under any circumstances.
  • Artificial feeding of wild animals should be avoided, except if it is done by seeding and planting host or food plants.
  • We don’t promote sites where wild animals are kept in captivity, except in the case of wildlife breeding farms, species rescue, or species reintroduction, in compliance with the law and following best practices.
  • We encourage our guests to visit well-managed conservation areas, plant and wildlife rescue centers, properly registered local wildlife breeding farms, and other sites with similar practices.
  • Our tour guides informed our clients on how to behave properly while observing flora and fauna to ensure a responsible and sustainable operation.
  • We promote the cultural and recreational activities of the local communities
  • We promote visits to local businesses and communities.
  • We encourage the purchase of sustainably-made handicrafts or food products, favoring those produced under certification and, if possible, by local businesses
  • We hire local suppliers, constantly evaluating their quality to recommend improvements when needed to help with their development.
  • We make sure that our local staff and operators receive a fair rate for their services.
  • We inform our customers of cultural or religious issues where they should be considerate.
  • We constantly get information and support programs concerned with children’s advocacy, the fight against commercial sexual exploitation, drugs, etc.
  • We promote the protection of indigenous cultures in order to safeguard their heritage. We do not allow the illegal marketing and purchase of cultural goods.
  • We promote only the activities the indigenous cultures are willing to share with tourists.
  • Be considerate of the communities and environment you visit.
  • Turn off your lights (and AC) when you leave your hotel room
  • Take Shorter Showers to save water.
  • Re-use towels when possible.
  • Don’t litter. Try to carry your own shopping bag to avoid contributing to the plastic problem and use the litter bag provided in our vehicle.
  • Always ask before taking photographs. If someone says no, respect their wishes.
  • Purchase local sustainable products to support the local community.
  • Please don’t purchase products made from endangered species.
